Cachaçaria WEBER HAUS
The story of the Weber Haus family in Brazil began in 1824, the year they emigrated from the Hunsrück region of Germany to the southern region of the country. The Webers settled in the forests on the slopes of the Serra Gaúcha, in what is now Ivoti, specifically on a small property known as Lot 48. Initially, the family started by acquiring land in the then-unknown New World and cultivating English potatoes to produce "schnaps." It was only in 1848, with the cultivation of sugarcane and the continuation of historical traditions, that the production of cachaça for personal consumption began.
The commercial beginnings of the H. Weber distillery occurred exactly one century after the creation of the first distillate. The distillery was built in 1948 and consisted of a mill powered by four mules. Over time, the process was modernized, and the business was passed down from father to son. Generation after generation, the pursuit of innovation, quality, and purity led the family to improve their expertise and upgrade the distillery with the most modern production processes. In 2001, the Weber Haus brand was launched. Starting in 2004, the company began selling outside its regional market (Ivoti, Dois Irmãos, and Novo Hamburgo).
